The additional cost was around $30 USD for a map system tht will allow me to drive all across Europe if Iwant to in the future. So when you do purchase a tomtom map, check to see if there is a version available for a larger geographical area at little extra cost. it could save you money in the long run. Also keep your eyes open for map updates as they become avaialble via tomtom map share functionality.
